Supporting Women in Law and Legal Leadership Across Central Florida
At Chad Barr Law, we believe in more than just practicing law—we believe in strengthening the legal community. That’s why we were proud to sponsor the recent CFAWL Judicial Reception, hosted by the Central Florida Association for Women Lawyers (CFAWL). This annual event brings together judges, attorneys, and legal professionals from across Central Florida to foster meaningful connections and celebrate the advancement of women in the judiciary.
A Legacy of Leadership: Olivia H. Miller, Esq.
Our very own Olivia H. Miller, Esq., head of Chad Barr Law’s Personal Injury Department, was not only in attendance—she’s a past President of the Seminole County Florida Association for Women Lawyers (SFAWL). Her leadership in SFAWL reflects her long-standing commitment to empowering women in the legal profession and mentoring the next generation of female attorneys.
SFAWL is the Seminole County affiliate of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (FAWL), an organization that has led the charge statewide for gender equality, leadership development, and networking opportunities for women attorneys. Olivia’s work with SFAWL included organizing impactful community events, providing professional development opportunities for young lawyers, and advocating for diversity in our local legal system.
Local Engagement Matters
Our involvement in CFAWL, SFAWL, and other local law associations isn’t just symbolic—it’s strategic and sincere. Chad Barr Law is committed to building a stronger, more inclusive legal community, not just through courtroom advocacy, but through active support of professional organizations that promote equality, access to justice, and professional growth.
Whether it’s helping host receptions that celebrate judicial excellence or sponsoring events that spotlight female leadership in law, we’re honored to do our part.
Why It Matters
We believe that when local law firms show up, sponsor, and support, they help create a legal culture that is collaborative, diverse, and deeply connected to the community. By investing in these associations, we’re investing in the future of the profession—and that’s a win for everyone.
