• Politician Running for Office,Napoleon Harris, Involved in Back Wages Dispute

    February 14, 2016 | Chad Barr
  • While the election season is heating up, there’s one State senator who is running for office and making headlines for not paying workers:

Illinois State Senator Napoleon Harris has been ordered to pay $23,000 in underpaid worker wages at his pizza business.  The U.S. Labor Department discovered Harris was underpaying dozens of employees of his pizza restaurants and are putting the clamp on him.

Harris and the state reached an agreement in court and he’s forking over the money to those 38 employees. Meanwhile, Harris continues to run  for the U.S. Senate. It’ll be interesting to see if this case leaves a bad taste on the campaign trail.

The good news for you: If the government is forcing senators to pay their employees, you’re in a great position to get your boss to pay your unpaid wages. And I can help with that!
