What is the Current VA Ratings Schedule?
VA Disability Ratings are compensation to those who served our country based on the severity of their service-connected injuries. The various rating levels are meant to compensate our veterans based on the impaired earnings caused by those injuries and conditions.
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs uses the VA Schedule for Rating Disabilities (VASRD) to assign diagnostic codes and disability ratings for service-related conditions. The ratings are based on criteria described by the symptoms and/or treatment of a specific condition.
Ratings go from 0% to 100%. A 0% rating offers no monetary compensation but does allow a veteran access to ancillary benefits like health care. A 100% rating gives a Veteran the maximum monthly compensation, currently set at $3,332.06 per month.
Every Veteran Disability case is unique. If you haven’t filed your disability claim with the VA, now is the time to do so. If your claim was denied, or you were given a lower rating than you believe you should have, please contact our Veterans’ Disability lawyers today.
